Safety First

At JS Welding Services safety always comes first. This is achieved through the appointment of a dedicated Safety Officer based at our workshop. We have implemented a Health and Safety Policy, and Health and Safety Management System. This comprehensive approach to safety and quality ensures all legislative obligations and requirements of ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety Management Standard are met.

Skilled Personnel

JS Welding Services is wholly owned and operated by its hands-on director who takes an active and leading role in each project. This makes us more agile, flexible and responsive to our clients’ needs. We have an excellent group of highly experienced senior staff, with more than 10% of our production staff in their 4th and 5th decade of boilermaking. This experience brings a wealth of knowledge and advanced skills to our workshop and project sites.

JS Welding Services has access to reliable and trusted work crews who can assist with the erection of structural steel on project sites. These staff are highly competent and have travelled throughout Queensland over the past decade installing projects that have been fabricated in the workshop in Townsville.

Our People

JS Welding Services has evolved from a one-man mobile boilermaking service into a professional welding company working with some of the top tier construction companies in Australia.

Founded and managed by Jason Pinker, JS Welding Services now has a growing team of 43 dedicated and skilled staff and a reliable network of contractors in the electrical, civil, building and construction industries.

Jason Pinker

Managing Director – Welding Supervisor

Jason founded JS Welding Services in 2010. He is a qualified boilermaker with over 30 years experience in the mining and construction industries.

Experienced in pipe welding, heavy earth moving repairs and maintenance, heavy fabrication and industrial construction, Jason worked in a variety of different environments and locations throughout the world before settling in Townsville, where he has become a passionate contributor to the region’s growth.

Tull James

Project Manager – QA Manager

Tull has 30 years construction industry experience, working with various engineering and fabrication companies.

He has delivered projects across a broad range of market sectors including commercial construction, government sectors, (rail, ports, schools, and hospitals), major defence contracts and the mining industry.

Tull plays an integral role at JS Welding Services, taking responsibility for project initiation, execution and delivery, all in line with client objectives. He has extensive knowledge of fabrication processes, Australian Standards, QA and safety legislation.
